RAYMOND E. SHIVELY, SR. - HALL OF FAME

The Raymond E. Shively, Sr. ARHPA Hall of Fame is awarded annually to a deserving nominated candidate who has expanded the horizons of showing roadster horses or ponies, has contributed to the longevity of and participation in the discipline, or who has given of his or her talents to further the successful promotion of showing roadsters; this prestigious award is presented during the Kentucky State Fair World's Championship Horse Show. Rather than being based on a particular win or project, this award recognizes a record of substantial contributions over a number of years. No special nomination form is required - current members may write a letter or email their nominations to roadhorses@americanroadhorsepony.com, or call an ARHPA board member to nominate a candidate. Voting occurs by the general ARHPA membership, with any tie to be broken by a single vote of the ARHPA president.

Annual deadlines for nominations and voting are:

• April 1 - Candidates must be nominated by this date
• June 15 - Voting closes (ballots having been sent to members via email), ballots must be received by ARHPA by this date.
• During the KSF WCHS in August, in Louisville, KY - Award is presented in center ring.
